Agripreneurship is pivotal for the development and continued existence of every nation. Hence, this study investigated agripreneurship and piggery production in Edo State, Nigeria. It specifically examined the effect of market opportunity identification, value addition, financial management, use of technology and innovation, collaboration and partnerships, and sustainable pig farming practices on piggery production in Edo State, Nigeria. A field survey within a cross-sectional time frame of 2023-2024 was conducted to elicit responses from owners and managers of piggeries in Edo State. A total of 329 respondents gotten through snowballing technique constituted the sample size. Data was gotten from the primary source and generated through the administration of copies of questionnaire to respondents and was analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics via SPSS version 24. The outcomes of the study showed that market opportunity identification, value addition, financial management, use of technology and innovation, and collaboration and partnerships have a positive and significant effect on piggery production while sustainable pig farming practices had a positive and insignificant effect on piggery production in Edo State, Nigeria. The study recommended that owners and managers of piggeries in Edo State should conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends, invest in processing facilities and quality improvement measures, implement effective financial management practices, adopt modern technologies and innovative practices, build strategic alliances with suppliers, distributors, and other stakeholders, and adopt environmentally friendly farming practices. This will enable them to enhance their market reach and competitiveness, increase the value and market appeal of piggery products, have detailed budgets and secure access to credit ensuring financial stability and growth, improve productivity and efficiency, strengthen the supply chain and market access and ensure long-term viability and social acceptance of piggery production.
