This study examined the impact of spare parts procurement strategies on the operational performance of smartphone repair shops in Oredo Local Government Area, Benin City. The research focused on five key dimensions of procurement strategies: quality assurance, supplier relationship management, procurement planning, inventory management, and sourcing strategies. Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from smartphone repair technicians through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The results revealed a strong and statistically significant relationship between the selected procurement strategies and operational performance, with procurement strategies accounting for 72.2% of the variance in performance outcomes. Quality assurance and supplier relationship management were particularly influential in enhancing service delivery, reducing downtime, and improving customer satisfaction. The study concluded that the success and efficiency of smartphone repair businesses are strongly tied to how well they manage their spare parts procurement processes. It recommends the adoption of strategic procurement planning, investment in supplier relationships, the use of inventory technologies, and regular quality assessments to improve operational outcomes. These findings provide valuable insights for technicians, business owners, and policymakers aiming to enhance performance in the informal repair sector.
